Aquacode Coffee Brewing Water
Aquacode Coffee Brewing Water
Water makes up roughly 98% of a filter coffee and around 90% of espresso. If your tap water is hard, heavily chlorinated, or mineral-poor, it directly affects extraction - muting acidity, flattening clarity, or creating a chalky finish regardless of how good the coffee is.
Aquacode is a liquid mineral concentrate developed to solve that problem. Each sachet contains deep-sea ionic minerals sourced from below 700 metres in the Pacific Ocean, formulated to a calcium-to-magnesium ratio of 1:2.7. Added to distilled or deionised water, a single sachet produces water that meets SCA brewing standards at 85ppm TDS - enough mineral content for full extraction without the interference of chlorine, bicarbonates, or excessive hardness.
The format is practical. Because the concentrate is liquid rather than powder, it dissolves instantly with a quick mix. The 7-litre 'Barista' sachets are designed to be diluted with 7 litres of pure distilled water (0ppm), though the included dilution chart covers a range of ratios if you want to adjust to taste or brew method. Aquacode has been used in competition by several national Brewers Cup champions and was the designated water for the 2019 World Brewers Cup Champion.
Available in a single sachet, a 3-sachet taster pack, or a box of 12.
